Let’s Make Some Magic

2 Feb
Can you believe it’s February already? I feel like I just got over my New Year’s hangover. I guess time flies when you’re having fun and this city always has tons of fun stuff to do. February is a busy month with the Super Bowl, Lingerie Bowl, Valentine’s Day, MAGIC, and President’s Day. The first half of the month, SpyOnVegas’ events page is filling up fast and here is a quick look at things to do in Sin City.
This weekend is dedicated to football with the ladies of the Lingerie Bowl arriving today for their Las Vegas premiere on Sunday. You will see them out tonight at the Sporting House Bar & Grill in NYNY for their media event, but who knows where they will head after. Perhaps they will “surrender” themselves at Surrender Nightclub for the locals’ industry night or head over to Lavo to find a new outfit at the lingerie collection featuring Fredericks of Hollywood’s Love Scene.
I would suggest starting the weekend off early on Thursday, February 3rdby heading down to Lobby Bar at Green Valley Ranch for SpyOnVegas.com Open Bar with Cricket mobile. They will be serving Fat Tire beer from 6-9PM and giving away three Samsung Suedes. Afterwards, if you’re not full from the beer, save time to party at Haze Nightclub. Far East Movement is performing live and Haze has an amazing setup for everyone in the club to see the performance from any spot.
Over the rest of weekend expect to see some tailgating, cheerleaders, celebrity appearances, and mainstream DJs at multiple locations. On Friday night, Laura Croft is celebrating her birthday at Blush Boutique Nightclub, Rain Nightclub is featuring Electro DJ Dada Life, and Marquee will have Sander Van Doorn spinning to launch his 2011 Las Vegas residency. On Saturday night, Marquee stays on the DJ train with Erick Morillo and the EC Twins. Heading North on the strip the ladies reign at Bank Nightclub with a dozen pro-football cheerleaders and across the street AudrinaPatridge hosts Pure Nightclub. Sunday is game day and you can watch the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Green Bay Packers at Lavo Restaurant, Blush Boutique Nightclub, or Crown Theater and Nightclub. There are plenty of after-parties to attend later that night. Lavo is having the Annual Holly Bowl After-Party with Holly Madison, Bank Nightclub’s Cheer Bowl will have Las Vegas’ sexiest industry cheerleaders, and Rok Nightclub will be packed with the sexy players of the Lingerie Bowl.
The week before Valentine’s Day, men will be busy planning their special night for their significant other and singles will be making their party plans for “Single Awareness Day.” If you are a procrastinator like me, you can push the planning aside for the Sexiest Server Champagne Reception at STK. There is an open bar from 7-9PM to sip on champagne and mingle with the ladies. Fast forward to Thursday and the Valentine festivities begin. Haze is spreading the love by having a Blind Date party. I personally think this party will be a blast. The first 200 ladies will receive a locked heart while 200 guys will receive a combination. The first duo that unlocks the combination will win an ultimate blind date or $5,000 cash. Marquee Nightclub continues to spread the love over the weekend with DJ Chuckie returning on Friday and Kaskade on Saturday for “We Love Kaskade Valentine’s Day Special.” Also on Saturday, the Silverton Lodge is having a “Stupid Cupid” party. All of Las Vegas’ singles can sign up for speed dating, free cocktails, chocolate eating contest, and beer pong to top off the romance. Speaking of love, I love, love, love Magic. Sunday, February 13th kicks off the convention of new fashion and accessories. The eclectic group of people that fill the city during that week will be starting off at The Bank Nightclub. The Bank will be having a surprise performance for the 944 Magic Kickoff Party.
Monday is Cupid’s day and it is going to be “Fabolous.” JET nightclub is having Fabolous swoon the ladies with a special performance and Gold Boutique Nightclub is hosting a fabulous singles party. I can imagine every restaurant to be packed and all of the shows to be sold out with the hundreds of lovely couples that dwell in and visit this city. My Valentine’s Day plans are in the hands of another so I’ll leave it at that.
Don’t forget today is Groundhog’s Day. According to the little creature, which did not see his shadow, spring will be coming early this year. It doesn’t seem possible when it’s only 30 degrees outside, but in Vegas it can be cold one day and hot the next. I guess I better buy a new bikini and get ready to have some fun in the sun!
