I love birthdays. I am sure I have said that before. It is the time you were brought into this world. Imagine if you were never born. How many peoples’ lives would be different? That is the reason why I think it is important to celebrate. It’s not about age, but how many years you have lived on this Earth. This Friday, I am celebrating 30 years of my life at Blush Boutique Nightclub. I can’t even believe it’s been that long; life is going by so fast. Celebrating a birthday in Vegas is the way to go. The choices are endless here with places to celebrate and cakes to go along. If you have a birthday coming up, here are some options to check out and cakes to enjoy like the celebrities.
I have celebrated my birthday at various spots in Las Vegas. I have done the pool, nightclub, lounge and house party scene. Out of all the venues in Las Vegas, it is more about what you are looking to achieve. If you celebrate your birthday on an Industry Night (Mon-Thurs) you will most likely get a comped bottle pretty much anywhere. If it is during the weekend, look for spots that aren’t having a special event, or a lounge where you may be able to get a buy one get one bottle. One nightclub, Tryst, keeps birthday cakes on hand to purchase in case you forget to bring one. If you have your party at a pool with a cabana, you can ask if you can put up a poster or a picture and have your friends sign it for a souvenir.
There are two “boutique” nightclubs, Blush at Wynn and Gold at Aria. The concept is to make it more intimate while still providing a dance floor. I think these are the best spots to celebrate if you want to keep your friends in one group. The venues are smaller so everyone in the room will know it’s your birthday. If you want to celebrate in a nightclub, Surrender, Tryst, The Bank, Haze, LAX, Chateau and TAO are places that I have had the most success with birthday bashes. These venues focus on delivering exceptional bottle service. Each venue has great tables for large groups in areas that will keep your group together. Just make sure to tell them it’s your birthday when booking your reservation.
If you want to have special cake to be delivered like the celebrities there are four main bakeries that the nightclubs use: Freed’s Bakery, Gimme Some Sugar, Marie’s Gourmet Bakery and Leopold’s Bakery. The cakes aren’t cheap running around $80 and above. You can choose what cake flavor you would like as well as frosting. If you have more than one tier, you can choose a different cake flavor for each one. The cakes can be specially designed into any shape. Each bakery has some amazing designs. I recommend checking out the galleries on each site.
The bottom line is that it doesn’t matter where you are celebrating your birthday, but who you are with. Make sure you make it memorable with friends and family. Don’t party too hard because it is something you want to remember the next day.
If you would like to come and help celebrate my birthday this Friday, July 22, please RSVP at SpyOnVegas.com for free entry. There will also be an open champagne and vodka bar for ladies 11 p.m. to midnight.
