Laboring Through the Weekend

22 Aug

Labor Day

On Tuesday, September 5, 1882, the first Labor Day was celebrated in New York City. Twelve years later, it became a nationally recognized holiday celebrated every year on the first Monday of September. Labor Day is an American holiday that celebrates the social and economic achievements of American workers. It is unclear who created the holiday, but the Central Labor Union did propose it. Basically, Americans decided that since we work so hard, we deserve one day off to have our country show appreciation for it. Well, what better way to celebrate than in Las Vegas, where an extra day for the weekend to play means bigger parties and bigger names. Here is a full list of details of what is going down Labor Day Weekend in Las Vegas.

If you want to kick off the weekend early, you can start off at Tao with ATB or Tryst Nightclub with Manufactured Superstars, but as for the rest of the weekend, make your plans and book your reservations.

Whatever you decide to do for Labor Day Weekend, just be aware: this is one of Las Vegas’ busiest weekends. Get to the pools and clubs early to avoid the long lines and expect high minimums if you decide to get a table. The earlier you book the better. As for me, I just booked a ticket to San Francisco for the weekend. I prefer to escape the craziness as I know Vegas will still be crazy when I return.
